Luigi in Iași

Hola!!

I love Iași. My language skills have been so stretched lately. Me and my companion are both fairly new so we can only understand so much, let alone speak. But we are making it through. We have had lessons and people calling us to set things up!

We weren't left with many friends, and so we had to start from scratch. 3 hours a day we have spent in the burning hot sun awkwardly inviting people to English class, introducing our purpose, and just trying to be friends with them. Guys, why did no one tell me I was so awkward? I'm legitimately so sorry to everyone who has had to endure me.

One day I told this guy I liked his minecraft shirt and he told us his name is Luigi (on par with Craig), bashed us and then exchanged numbers. I don't know how, but after that WE SEE THIS MAN EVERYWHERE. And Iași is a big city!! It's been kind of fun trying to sneak around him or just listen to his half-drunken rants. He's not really interested but he loves texting us and debating us. Seriously so ciudat but my source of entertainment.

Me and sora Griffin have had terrible interactions with romanian men lately. We are both pretty short, so we don't have height as an intimidating factor. One guy almost robbed me of my phone. Two others kept poking and pushing me. Some of the elders past friends want to marry us. I could be flattered but instead I've just decided I'm gonna drop kick the next guy who makes a move. I didn't take a month of kung fu for nothing.

I LOVE our area. It has been so fun to be with the other Sora's, I absolutely love them. We also have the ILP girls and MARIA!! They are all literally amazing and It's just feels like this fun little club.

Guys. Go read Enos right now! I dont know how this one chapter managed to touch my soul so deeply. But I think about it constantly.

 We know what God has promised us, and His word is forever. We can be forgiven and we can learn to forgive ourselves. There is POWER in repentance!!
