A Small Stop în Barlad
July 18, 2023
I promised myself I wouldn't write anymore late letters, but this week has changed my mission. I just couldn't find the time to write it.
This week we were able to travel to Barlad at the crack of dawn by train with our district! We were there to help supervise for a foster children summer camp activity. At first, I was just tired. I was thinking it was going to be another long day. But the kids started to come in, I got to meet the AMAZING people who run this organization, and I fell in love. The entire time I was just in awe of how close these kids ages 2-19 had grown to the quirky volunteers who come here every year, and to the people helping them find homes. It was one big family in the middle of nowhere, literally, and I felt apart of it. For the first time since I've been here, I was asking and looking for ways to come back after my mission, and to meet everybody again. I love these people so much. I'm really starting to believe in dedicatory prayer of România. I know the future of this gospel here is in strong and loving hands. It was a little hard to leave. But in true fashion to seemingly frequent events in my life, we ended our visit with a few songs on the guitar.
Guys. I love it here. I'm definitely coming back.
Va iubesc atât de mult, și sper că aveți voi o săptămână frumoasă! Pa!
