Revenge of the Cat

Bună tuturor! Sorry it's been a minute..

There have been many small and tender things I've been able to see these past 4 weeks. None of this is in order. Ce să fac? 

One of these tender moments was a little while ago, but I was able to see a woman bring her daughter to the English classes that she had come to when she was a teenager. They showed up to English class out of nowhere and expressed that they only found us because they saw the elders walking in Centru. How cool! She says that she would like to serve a mission!

We had church and so many people came to our sacrament! It was such a privilege to be there during a district conference. Although a lot of cool things were happening, my siblings and how much I missed them were heavy on my mind. A few manly tears were shed.

It was a beautiful service and the room was so full of life, but I couldn't get past how much I missed my little brothers. After sacrament and relief society we were all conjugated in the main room, people had traveled from all over. We were teaching this little girl math and out of nowhere this preteen b-lines it for me, calls me stupid even though it was my comp teaching, and proceeds to challenge me to a long multiplication race. We both get it WRONG the first time and literally every single time after that. He was making fun and joshing around, but it was just like hanging out with my brothers again. We probably did math problems and games for an hour until we had to return to our work, but just looking back, God's timing is so perfect.

Some funny moments..

We were doing a service project for fratele Mihai and he really made us plow his field for potatoes. I sinned and misunderstood him when he told me not to touch a root.. I ripped that thing out and he full on pushed me. I apologized profusely and plowed with a hoe like I never had before. He wanted to take a picture with me after so I'm assuming I'm forgiven.

There was a bear in Sibiu! Ana and the Craciun's were telling me in the past about a bear walking along the rooves, and about animals frequently escaping the zoo. But seriously on our 6 hour train to Bucharest, there were 3 bear sighting alerts. #blessed

Went on a bike ride with the city bikes, because we aren't cool enough for mission bikes.  and literally it might as well have been mountain biking. We biked the length of a marathon UP HILL to a whole nother city. Through the rural fields. Through muddy parks. It was against my will but definitely beautiful. 10/10 hopefully I don't get eaten by a bear this next time around.

Sophie, a girl we are teaching English to over zoom, got destroyed by her cat. This girl messes with this poor cat everytime we are on call with her because she is obsessed with them. And so finally, doing her normal thing, this cat decided it had had enough and attacked her cute little space buns. And I'm not kidding the entire bun was in its mouth. The change in her facial expression had me rolling. I was genuinely worried for her, but I low-key don't even blame the cat. She's nuts!

Went to Bucharest and got to see my best friend/worst enemy again! The Sibiu gang was back together for a split moment. Unfortunately he sucks and made us lose our mind break game.

Zone conference is always amazing! The Ruckers have such amazing advice and share it in the most natural ways. They spoke about, in regards to our new Mission Presidents, how we have the capacity to love them both, and to not welcome them with any prejudices. I don't think we have to be afraid of how much love we have to share with people. Like Christ, our hearts have the capacity to love so many people. On the other hand, I think our hearts become to heavy to handle holding contempt for others. I know our Heaveanly Father gave us the gift to love, because that's what he wants for us. To love and to he loved.

I hope if there is anything or anyone you are afraid to love, pray about it, and realize there is infinite room!
