Hristos A Inviat!

midnight mass

PaΘ™te a fost foarte bine!

I hope Easter was amazing for you all, I've been blessed to celebrate it twice here!

We had a six hour train to Bucharest from Sibiu, and then zone conference! I said the opening prayer in Romanian which I was scared for, but I did it! We had a fun game and naturally our area won πŸ†. And then we ended with 2 questions.

1. What keeps me from having faith?

2. What would I do if only I had more faith?

Holy cow. To me, these were such profound questions. And it was difficult to be vulnerable with our whole zone. But I learned so much from everybody. I'm not alone in my struggle to strive for faith. And I knew that after all that I've done to prepare myself for the next step, God will carry my weight. He'll take me the rest of the way. It just takes a lot of trust in Him.

We attended midnight mass at the orthodox church and it was really interesting. There isn't a wall without a symbolic painting. We shared flames that the bishop passed on and this resembled the light of Christ. It was beautiful, and people were so joyous. When you passed on the flame you said "Hristos a inviat"(Christ lives) and they respond with "Advarat a inviat"(He lives indeed). It was spiritual when the whole congregation responded to the speaker, and sang in song together. But I know that we have the light of Christ in us and all around us always!

Later on that night, we got locked in the church and had to listen to the same prayer for a whole nother hour but.. c'est la vie??? Gravity broke my back for sure.

There has been some REALLY close calls with pigeons and crows randomly pooping out of the sky. I swear if I get pooped on I'm gonna drop kick one of them birds. πŸ˜€

We do states night because everyone in my area thinks I eat weird food. CABBAGE AND CHEESE IS A THING OKKK. And I'm sorry if the hot dog Luca is the best one, it chose me not the other way around. But anyway I represented with some cabbage and cheese and all those who badmouthed it sure felt silly. Arizona night was this amazing Mexican hot dog, also chimichangas came from Arizona?? Funeral potatoes is on the menu this week for Utah night part 2!

Also I've been commissioned to draw Jesus for 100 Lei. Pray for me. πŸ™

Love you guys!

With Love, Sora FAST!
